Bill Payment Options
If you are trying to make a payment to avoid disconnection or arrange reconnection, you must call our Customer Service Team during regular business hours, M-F, 8:30am – 4:00pm to speak to a representative about your arrangements.
Failure to do this may cause an unnecessary delay in payment validation.
For your convenience we offer the following pre-authorized direct debit options for paying your monthly bill:
Equal Payment Plan
An equal amount is withdrawn monthly. If you have a credit/debit balance when we settle your account annually, we will factor your balance into the calculation of your new monthly amount.
Process for reconciliation on the Equal Payment Plan:
If you have a balance owing when we settle your account annually, we will factor the balance owing into the calculation of your new monthly amount. This new draft amount will be withdrawn on your normal withdrawal date.
If you have a credit balance when we settle your account annually, we will factor the balance owing into the calculation of your new monthly amount. This new draft amount will be withdrawn on your normal withdrawal date.
You may contact GSU within 10 days of the date of your reconciliation bill to request a refund.
The amount of your current bill automatically withdrawn on the due date of your bill.
How to register:
To sign up for one of the above direct debit plans and have your payments automatically taken out of your bank account, please print and complete the form, then mail it in with a void cheque to: Greater Sudbury Utilities, PO Box 250, Sudbury, ON P3E 4P1 or email your completed form to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please note, it may take up to 10 days to receive payment.
Telephone and Internet Payments
Please make sure to select GSU – Greater Sudbury Utilities and use all the digits (zeros included) when entering your account number.
Please make cheque payable to Greater Sudbury Utilities and write your account number on your cheque.
A deposit box is conveniently located at 500 Regent Street, Sudbury.

Citizen Service Centers
Cash payments (as well as debit) are accepted by City of Greater Sudbury Citizen Service Centers, though some may still be closed due to the COVID-19 situation. View a list of locations here.
